- The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy - TFG book of the month.
- The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black - This is an ARC which I failed to read last year, but I have to make up for that failure since this book was entrusted to me in good faith.
- The Paris Enigma by Pablo De Santis - This one is fermenting on the shelf for years now.
Before I go, these were the books I finished recently :
- Love Walked In by Marisa de Los Santos - 3/5 stars - TFG book for February.
- Kinder Than Solitude by Yiyun Li - 3/5 stars - Good prose but unsettling.
- Perdido Street Station by China Miéville - 5/5 stars - A buddy read with some book club friends. A terribly reeling book.
- The Oxford Murders by Guillermo Martínez - 4/5 stars - It's about murders. What's not to like?
Perdido was so much fun! Can't wait for the others to finish. (My gosh, si Yag old son. Haha.)
ReplyDeleteYes it was! But wait, we're not officially done kung hindi pa tapos lahat. So, let's visit the thread every now and then. And I still can't write my thoughts on the book, I'll probably post some questions there. Maybe you guys can boost my thoughts on some matters. hehehe :)
DeleteEvery time I go to your blog, I fall in love with the template. This is, by far, my favorite! Nakakatempt tuloy magpalit, hahaha. :)
ReplyDeleteHope you like The God of Small Things! :)
Thanks, Monique! The old one was okay but it was hard to maintain and harder to manipulate, I can't put all the things I want. Arte ko di ba? hahaha
DeleteI'm liking it so far. Good thing you warned us about the timeline. It would have made things difficult, if not for that. For me that is. ♥
Pretty Reading List banner! <3
ReplyDeleteI think I'll be able to finish Perdido soon. It's becoming un-put-down-able haha! :)
And oh, another Holly Black. Will watch out for your review. :)
Thanks, Lynai!
ReplyDeleteThe Darkest Part of the Forest is turning out to be a very interesting read. :)
I love your new layout too. I love hovering my mouse pointer over your photo above and see you "dance". Hehe! Good luck in your reading this month. :)
