BEST BOOKS of 2014 ...so far

January to June

I am supposed to post the list earlier this month, but (hey) it's better late than never, right? I thought it was lovely to make it an annual thing and let you guys know of the wonderful discoveries I had. 

Here are my best reads from January to June of this year, in no particular order:

• The Watcher in the Shadows by Carlos Ruiz Zafón
• The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield
• A Dance With Dragons by George RR Martin
• The City and the City by  China Miéville
• Man in the Dark by Paul Auster

These three lovely books are also worth mentioning...

• To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf
• White Teeth by Zadie Smith
• The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin
