April 2013 marks TFG’s 3rd year anniversary. It was a month-long celebration which involves online and offline activities. A busy, yet very rewarding month. It is also worth mentioning that I moderated for the month’s F2F, and help prepare for the culmination of our anniversary celebration. And so, yes, my reading rut excuses seemed valid enough so as not to put the blame entirely on the heat alone. Hihihi
Among my three (3) reading requirements for April, I've only read Smaller and Smaller Circles by F.H. Batacan. And, Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell will have to spill through May. But I did finish some other books:

- The Sense of an Ending by Julian Barnes -4/5 stars – a very worthy buddy read.
- A Study in Emerald by Neil Gaiman -5/5 stars – listened to the audio version, read by the author himself, while reading the 9-page pdf file.
- My Imaginary Ex by Mina V. Esguerra -4/5 stars – a sweet reprieve from reading JS & MN.
- Smaller and Smaller Circles by F.H. Batacan -4/5 stars – a surprisingly quick read.
While April was a rewarding month, I cannot help but give out a contented sigh of relief, because now that it is over I can welcome May with some serious reading.
- The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Díaz – this requires some strategic maneuvers since it’s twice now that I have failed to accomplish this. I will read/listen to this one simultaneously with the rest of my list, that way it will be like getting to the finish line in baby steps. Hah!
- What the Darkness Brings (Sebastian St. Cyr #8) by C.S. Harris – I’ve wanted to dive into this since it came out. Excited much!
- The Testing by Joelle Charbonneau – an ARC I have to read in less than 30 days.
This may be a conservative list, but it will have to do, lest I bite more than I can chew. Besides, this way, it will be easier to add more books if need be.
